What DockAlly knows about you.

When you activate your licence, DockAlly sends your licence key and your computer's name to Polar, who issued the key. That is how a key knows it has been used on this Mac. It repeats that check quietly at launch to confirm the key is still valid.

That is the only network request DockAlly makes. Nothing else leaves your Mac, ever.

Where your Dock icons are. Through macOS Accessibility. It reads positions so a creature can run to the right icon, and so windows go back where you saved them. It does not read your screen, your keystrokes, or the contents of any window.

Which apps you open, and how often. Kept in a count on your Mac so profiles can switch automatically. A number per app, nothing more.

Recent file names, if you ask for a stack. Through Spotlight, the same index Finder uses. Only to build the stack next to your Trash. File contents are never opened or read.

All of it stays on your Mac. None of it is uploaded, and I have no way to see it.

Settings and your app counts sit in DockAlly's own preferences on your Mac. Your licence key goes in the macOS Keychain, because it is a credential and belongs somewhere protected.

Delete the app and all of it goes with it.

Payments are handled by Polar, who act as the merchant of record. They collect what a payment needs: your email, billing details and the country you are in. I see your email address and what you bought. I never see your card.

No analytics, no tracking pixels, no cookies. The site is hosted by Vercel, who keep ordinary server logs including IP addresses for a short period, as any web host does.
